Privacy policy
What this website collects (very little), and what happens when you play a video.

The short version
We don't use cookies, we don't run ads, and we don't sell or share anything about you. We count visits without identifying you. Videos only load from YouTube when you press play.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't build a profile of you; it records things like the page, the referring site, and your country and device type in aggregate. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Videos from YouTube
Our pages show a picture of each video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and from then on YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own policies.
Your theme choice
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice on your own device. It never reaches us.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we keep them only as long as we need to. Our email is hosted by Zoho Mail.
Your rights and contact
You can ask what we hold about you (normally nothing beyond an email you sent) or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@thehimalayanledger.com. If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
